Emma was born On December 24, 2010 at Goldenbelle Kennels, she is a petite Goldendoodle. (10.5 lbs and she's full grown now))  I cannot explain, without writing a story book, (LOL) of how she has brought soooo much happiness to us.  Her temperament is absolutely wonderful.  She has never chewed anything, had an accident where she shouldn't have and always listens to her commands!

When I take her out, I seriously cannot get to far with her in my arms and people stopping me, asking me "what kind of dog she is", "oh how she is so well behaved", and the best one "could we buy her from you".....  I would not trade her in for thousands of dollars, she is just a precious little girl.  And I do believe that comes from the expertise of Helen, who she picks as parents to breed together and the all around love that is provided to them from birth until they leave her home:)

So that in a nutshell is why I highly recommend Goldenbelle Kennels to anyone looking for that great life long friend:)

I'm writing this email so that you know just how incredibly pleased I am with my goldendoodle, Frankie, and his brother, Bruno. I purchase Frankie six years ago from Helen Small (Golden Belle Kennels) and Bruno almost two years ago. I'm a big fan of Helen and if Golden Belle Kennels ever starts a fan club, I'm appointing myself its president!

I've had the good fortune of having dogs as pets all my life and I'm quickly approaching retirement age. They are by far the best breed for temperament, love, devotion and intelligence that I ever had as a pet. I do want to share a rather touching and for me, incredible story about my Goldendoodle, Frankie. In February of 2007 my wife was diagnosed with metastic breast cancer. As you can imagine, the news was devastating and both my wife and I were crying uncontrollably after receiving the prognosis. What really touched us at that very moment was that Frankie, our Goldendoodle, cried (seriously) as well. From that moment on he never left Robin's side and whenever he returned from being walked, he would search every room until he found her. Frankie was clearly attached to me, still is, but from the onset of Robin's illness he switched sides. Robin passed away at home and the hours leading up to her death, Frankie kept his eyes glued on her. He did not leave the bedroom that day, refused to eat and taking him out for a relief walk took a bit of nudging. The story doesn't quite end there for it took many months before he slept on the floor next to Robin's side of the bed. Before Robin became ill he would always sleep next to her side and then move to mine. I immediately slept on her side of the bed after her passing, a way of staying connected, but Frankie still refused to do so. His loving but strange behavior didn't end here either. I took Frankie with me to the cemetery to keep me company as I visited my wife's grave. Initially, since no one was around, I unleashed Frankie and as he pranced on top of others grave I thought it would be respectful if I leashed him again. I did so, but unleashed him when I approached Robin's resting place. What happened next was rather remarkable! He walked around the parameter of her grave and not once did he step on top of it. He sniffed around the edges and I can't imagine that there were any leaks from her coffin which was sealed in a concrete vault and buried the proverbial six feet. I can assure you that I am of sound mind, can't explain his behavior and either it was divine intervention or something instinctive!

Two months after Robin's passing I acquired a mini Goldendoodle named Bruno to ease my mourning and as a companion for Frankie. Bruno is name after a close friend of mine who is a Dominican Priest in Rome so there is a bit of a connection to the clergy! The timing was not right since I was overwhelmed with grief and didn't think I was giving Bruno the love he deserved. My closest friend and neighbour was recently divorced and quite sad so she begged me for Bruno. Bruno now lives with her, has filled her life with love and she constantly thanks me for the gift of the puppy. Better yet, Bruno lives in my building, Frankie & I see him all the time and I mean all the time. We walk the dogs together, they often eat together, they constantly play together and best of all, Kathy and I are dating. It's one happy family! Who do I have to thank for these gifts of joy & love, Helen Small. I never had the pleasure of meeting Helen but from my first conversation with her six years ago, I instinctively had a good feeling. That feeling has proved to be right and I have recommended Helen to everyone who stops to ask me about Frankie & Bruno. On average, no less than five or six people per day ask me about Frankie and who is the breeder. I live in New York City and Frankie is in Central Park everyday. Goldendoodles, as well as Labradoodles, are everywhere in the park but Frankie and Bruno are the magnets. Their pictures are always being taken by tourist and Asians are their biggest fans. When I purchase Frankie a friend of mine acquired his sister, GiGi, at the same time and she also thanks me often for introducing her to Golden Bell Kennels. I recently told Helen that Frankie is pet all the time by strangers and must have a splitting headache by the end of the day. I'm amazed he doesn't have a flat head!

I'm now anxiously waiting for another puppy from Helen, a petite. Instead of becoming a "cat" lady I've become a Goldendoodle father, many times over. My daughter and son-in-law believe that Frankie has been a great companion and is helping me heal. My brother feel in love with Frankie the first time he met him but he made a major mistake. Rather than getting his goldendoodle from Helen and after much research abut 2nd & 3rd generations and breeding out any chance of shedding he purchased his dog from a breeder in Fla. He chose Florida since that is his home state and his goldendoodle looks like a rat with long ears, great personality and yes, sheds like crazy. He loves his dog but admits he made a big mistake by not contacting Golden Belle/Helen Small.

 All the best,
 Dan

Hello
I wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the petite golden doodle puppy I purchased from Goldenbelle Kennels in Lucknow, Ontario.
The breeder, Helen Small, was always available to answer my inquiries, emails and corresponded regularly with me when I requested information.
In addition, it was wonderful to be able to view the pups progress on webcam on a daily basis. It provided the opportunity for me to "bond" with the pup given the great distance away (500 miles) that I live from the breeder. It also provided the opportunity to learn about the developmental stages of puppies early in the life. I learned a great deal from watching the pups progress.
Helen provided early crate training and "potty" training with the potty park. This made the transition for our puppy very easy  and she is comfortable in her kennel and is already housebroken at ten weeks of age.
I certainly felt supported in the purchase of the pup and wanted to provide this testimonial for others to review when considering a new addition to their homes.

My experiences with Helen and my puppy have been nothing but positive.

I first met with Helen and Buster (my puppy), when Buster was only 4 weeks old. This was the first dog for my son and I. We came up to visit Helen and found the puppies being raised in the home. We were also able to meet both the dame and the sire, something which few breeders can do for you. All 12 puppies from the litter were together and seemed very happy and healthy.

After watching the puppies for a short time we picked out one, that seemed to stand out for us. We held him and then watched how he interacted with the other puppies. We knew that we had found our dog. We left him in Helen's care for another 6 weeks, as we were moving. During that time, we had the opportunity of driving up to see Buster one other time, and Helen was happy to have us come and visit. She even went to the trouble of bathing and grooming him for us, so that he was especially cute. We came up and visited for about an hour, after which Buster was tired and we left. During both of our visits we took digital pictures, which we shared with Helen, and Helen was also kind enough to send us some pictures of Buster while we were still waiting to pick him up.

Finally the day came and we arrived to pick up our puppy. Helen had given him a great start in life. He was pretty much crate trained, although he much preferred being with my son and I, and was extremely well socialized with respect to both people, especially children, and with other dogs and animals. Buster has been a pure joy. Yes he is mischievous and does get into trouble from time to time, but he has been an excellent addition to our family. He is extremely friendly and very gentle (teething notwithstanding). He gets along with all the other dogs in the park and doesn't manage to go to far down the street without being stopped by someone who wants to pet him or ask about him.

He loves all attention and all of the affection that he gets. He is very playful, but when I need to work, he sits quietly under my desk and allows me to do what I need, without being disturbed. Most people can't believe that he is only a little over 3 months old, from how well he behaves. Once again, I attribute much of that to the excellent start in life.

Hi Helen, I am writing this letter to let everyone know who is interested in purchasing a doodle from you that I am highly recommending you! We picked up Murphy Nov 3/04 and he has been the best thing ever! He is now7-1/2 mths old  and very much still a puppy. He is a very loving and happy little guy not so little, approx 60lbs and growing!) he loves people, kids,
and especially other dogs, his best friend is a Bernese Mountain Dog who loves to wrestle with him.
Murphy loves to play ball and go for walks, he is very social dog and wants everyone's attention, he is the love of our life!!

Helen has always been there to answer any questions that I have had, we mainly respond by e-mail and I have never had to wait anymore than a couple of hours for her to respond, and I thank her for that and always being there.
I would not hesitate in the least to purchase another dog from Helen, she
very much cares for all her dogs and all the puppies.
Again Helen, Thank you so much for our wonderful Murphy. We'll keep in touch.

Sincerely,
Jen and David

I wanted to write this letter to let others know about our wonderful experience in purchasing our puppy from Helen Small at Golden Belle Kennels.

Our experience with Helen was so positive right from the first email I sent inquiring about the breed. She was very patient with our many emails and questions. After our puppy was born she always took the time to send us the latest pictures and up to date information. Because we lived so far away, we were unable to see the pups until we actually went to pick our pup out.

We could tell that the pups were well cared for and socialized well with other animals and children. Our puppy, Mellow stole our hearts within 5 minutes. She is now 16 weeks old, growing well and learning new things always. She was housetrained by 11 weeks and crate trained after one day. Mellow is a lovable and social dog. She impresses everyone with her "mellow" disposition.

We are pleased with how she has become a treasured part of our family. Even the family cat has finally accepted her. She has not damaged anything in the house and we give her the run of the house during the night. She sleeps well and is a good eater.

I couldn't say anything negative about this experience and any reservations I may have had about becoming a dog owner again are gone. I have recommended Helen and her pups to all I know. Helen continues to answer any of our questions and is still concerned about Mellow's health and wellbeing. We are very happy that we choose to purchase a pup from Helen. Thanks Helen.

Just a quick note to let you know Toby is doing wonderfully!

I WILL send a picture one of these days.  He is over 20 pounds and has had his second round of shots.  The vet had never seen a doodle before and was very impressed.  He continues to be so very sweet and LOVES people.  We finally have him sleeping through the night in his crate. He is housebroken and rings the bell to go out.  He "sits" on command and my son is teaching him to "play dead" because he is so mellow.  He has been a little more energetic the past couple days...more "puppyish".  He loves our children (teenagers) immensely and is very popular at school and at my dad's assisted living.

He is perfect!  And SO cute!  People are extremely interested in him and have had several interested in buying a doodle.  No shedding yet... he is just a fluff ball!  I shaved the bottom of his feet so he tracks in less dirt but he will need a haircut next month I think.  The kids love his wavy fur and do not want to cut him.
He is just SO wonderful!

Thank you... Julie

My experience with Helen Small and Golden Belle Kennels.

I found her kennel on-line and I am sooo happy that I did. We have the most adorable golden doodle you have ever seen and we got her from Helen. Our puppy's name is Kelsey and she was one of 10 born to their golden retriever, Jenni.
he was born on June 12/2004 and we picked her up on August 4th. We went to see the pups and pick ours out when the pups were 4 weeks of age. Helen and her husband were both very nice and extremely helpful. We really wanted a doodle with retriever characteristics and we got the dog of our dreams. the poodle mix is soooooooo sweet.

I have been in touch with Helen several times with common questions and she has been absolutely wonderful. She even went back to other buyers and got her hands on some pictures and weights of Kelsey's sisters for me because she knew it would mean alot to me. All of the puppies were in a safe, clean, dry environment and it was obvious that all their needs were being met.

Our Kelsey is absolutely amazing....she SITS, COMES, STAYS, GIVES A PAW and the best thing of all is that she was crate trained in about 3 days. To date, we have had no accidents at all in our house. She eats and sleeps fabulously and is very healthy according to our local vet. She is a small doodle.  She eats well, she is just very active and she loves her walks. I have nothing negative at all to say about Helen Small. Our dog was obviously well looked after and was very healthy and we couldn't be more pleased.
We love this dog so much and she is definitely a part of our family!!!

I would (and have) highly recommend this breeder when looking for a golden doodle....NO DOUBT!!!!!

To whom it may concern;

We purchased a petite golden doodle from Helen Small @ Goldenbelle.  Helen the breeder was fantastic to deal with.  Very professional and organized!  When arriving at her home you could see that her establishment was very clean and well maintained.

Our new puppy "Tucker Magoo" has been an absolute delight to our family!  We have had a golden retriever in the past and there is no comparison.  Our new puppy is so highly intelligent and trained so easily. Tucker has settled perfectly into our family and is a real sweet heart!!!! He is so smart and well behaved.  We have recommend Goldenbelle to all of our family and friends!

Thank you

I just wanted to take a minute to tell you of my experiences with Helen Small at Goldendoodles Kennels in Lucknow.  I purchased an English Standard Goldendoodle puppy sired by Dodger and Autumn sight unseen.  She was born February 20th but because I was going away twice in the month of May, Helen so graciously agreed to keep her for me until June 2nd.  We drove 7 hours from Ottawa to pick her up and it was well worth the trip.

When I saw her for the first time, I almost cried.  She was beautiful.  Just like a baby mare trying to stand for the first time.  Long lanky legs, big feet, a  gorgeous cream/apricot coat and a face to love.  She slept all the way home cuddled up to me in the back seat.  Because she was 14 weeks old, Helen saw to it that she had all three sets of shots and two sets of Advantage at a minimal cost to me.  She brought her into their house and started to house train and crate train Brandy.  Because of that Brandy went into her covered cage the first night at 11 pm and I had to drag her out at 6 am to pee.  She did the same the second night.

Even during the day she will go there on her own to get away from us all and the cats.  She is already learning commands and even though she peed in the house the first day, today she has only gone outside.  These are very intelligent, loving and giving dogs, very playful and very funny.  My Vet said she was very healthy and adorable.  She has a wavy coat but is not shedding at all.  We love her dearly and would definitely chose Helen again.  One thing that impressed me was that she was always there to answer my questions and gives you a 4 year health guarantee which is unheard of in the industry.  Usually you get 3 days.  This is a fantastic kennel and if anyone would like to talk to me about our experience with Brandy just have them call 613-253-6105.  Thanks.

 Best Wishes,
 Lynne E. Irwin
We cannot say enough about Goldenbelle, we were interested a petite doodle pup. I started making phone calls to Helen (the owner) towards the end of 2010, and was informed that there was a litter expected @ Christmas. After the pups were born, I was notified by Helen that she had a live cam set up to view Mum and pups. It was very interesting to watch. Mum nursing, cleaning and caring for the pups. And as the weeks went on, we were always finding ourselves, watching the smallest one of the litter, we called her "Little Girl". After many phone calls to Helen, sometimes having to leave a message, but she always got back to us in a timely fashion. And of course answered ALL of the questions we had with regards to her. How big would she get, how many pounds would she roughly weigh, how would she get along with our other Goldendoodles we have, and what food did she recommend for her, which is a brand called TLC made in Canada. Now all of our dogs on the food and it is working out well.
The establishment we visited to see"Little Girl" was very clean, the pups were in a safe area ready to be viewed, and the family was very caring towards ALL of thier dogs, and that showed a lot. The dogs were NOT just there for breeding purposes, but as family pets, who are loved more than words can say.
We made a decision to add another dog to our family, so we picked up Emma in February of this year, and she is such a quiet, passive, easy going little girl. Everywhere she goes with us, we are always stopped, and asked about her and where is she from. And of course, without hesitation we start talking about Goldenbelle Kennels and how we have the highest respect for them and the way things are done, and how the dogs and pups are cared for.
If you are looking to purchase a Goldendoodle, please go onto to thier website and see for yourself. You will not regret it, not for one moment.
Sincerely,

Julia T and family
Hello Helen,

I thought I would drop you a line and let you know how much my daughter Michelle and I love our beautiful doggies!   They were both so adorable but we knew instantly which one we wanted. Michelle took the bigger curly haired one which she named Fraser and I took the tiny one who is now called Oliver.    As you may remember, after several weeks in Vancouver, Michelle returned to Montreal with little Fraser where they still live.  Michelle will have to fill you in on how Fraser is doing but I can tell you that he is wonderful dog and goes to work with her every day.   He is the favourite of all her clients that come to her shop.  After his morning walks and runs along the canal he loves to sit in the shop window and keep an eye on the passersby.

Our little Oliver weighs in at a whopping 16 pounds and is an absolute joy!  He is so smart, playful and loving and charms everyone he meets.  He has a great group of doggy friends that we meet up with every day at the doggy park where he runs and plays for at least a good two hours.  He amazes me at how fast he can run!  I swear he comes home with a big smile on his face.  He definitely knows the words ‘dog park’ and excitedly sits by the door as I get my shoes on.    Oliver is my little buddy and accompanies me most place.   I would take him everywhere if I could.

Anyway, I just also wanted to thank you for this amazing little dog and to let you know how very much we love him!

Best,

Patricia

Hi Helen,
First off I want to tell you how wonderful Marley is doing…he has warmed up to us right from the moment we left your place...he is going to the bathroom on his puppy pad all the time we only had 2 accidents since he came home. The amount of love and happiness this little guy brings to us is truly AMAZING!! We can't imagine life before Marley…we love him so much! We are sooo happy we got him and from such a reputable breeder as yourself.

Thank you so much Helen.
Kindest regards,
Tania Evans

A Breeder

I love my little mini goldendoodle puppy; she makes my house a home.

She is my very sweetest little friend; I never feel alone.

She makes me smile; She makes me laugh; She fills my heart with love . . .

Did some person breed her, or did she fall from above?

I’ve never been a breeder, never seen life through their eyes;

I hold my little doodle puppy and just sit and criticize.

I’ve never known their anguish;

I’ve never felt their pain, the caring of their charges, through snow or wind or rain.

I’ve never waited the whole night through for babies to be born,

The stress and trepidation when they’re still not there by morn.

The weight of responsibility for this body in my hands,

This darling little baby, who weighs but 60 grams.

Should you do that instead of this . . . or maybe that was wrong?

Alone you fight and hope, one day, he’ll grow up proud and strong.

You pray he’ll live to bring great joy to someone else’s home.

You know it’s all just up to you; you’ll fight this fight alone.

Formula, bottles, heating pads, you’ve got to get this right,

two-hour feedings for this tiny doodle, throughout the day and night.

Within your heart you dread that you will surely lose this fight,

To save this little baby, but God willing . . . you just MIGHT.

Day one; he’s in there fighting; you say a silent prayer.

Day two & three, he’s doing well, with lots of love and care.

Day four & five . . . he’s still alive; your hopes soar to the heavens.

Day six he slips away again, dies in your hands, day seven.

You take this little angel, and bury him alone.

With aching heart and burning tears, and an exhausted groan,

You ask yourself, “Why do this? . . .

Why suffer through this pain?”

Yet watch the joy your puppies bring, and everything’s explained.

So, when you think of breeders and label them with “Greed,”

Think of all that they endure to fill another’s need.

For when you buy your puppy, with your precious dollars part,

You only pay with money . . . while they pay with all their heart ….
