Gigi |
Hi
Helen and George,
Attached please find some pix of Gigi. She is a superb creature:
friendly, sweet, brilliant and playful. She has been on Martha
Stewart: The Apprentice and the Today Show. She's just fabulous.
Thank you!

Hi, Helen!
I enjoy looking at your site, it looks like you've moved. Here's some pictures of our doodle, George. He was from your March 2005 litter from Cody and Belle. He's weighs in at a lofty 105 pounds! He's a big boy, but full of love. He's just the best dog we've ever had, so loving and gentle. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Keep up the great work. We've recommended lots of people to you. Are Cody and Belle still having puppies? Sincerely, Sharon Foote (Orangeville) |

Hi Helen,
Just wanted to get this e-mail off to you now that we
have chosen our puppy. We are the Clifford's and we came
yesterday and picked our puppy from Ember and Dodger's litter.
We are certainly in love with her already. Your husband said
that she seemed to have more of a Golden Lab nose than the other
two and as far as we are concerned she is just perfect. The
other two were certainly sweet but everything about Sophie
(think that is what we are going to call her) seemed just
right. I'm attaching a couple of photo's that we took
yesterday.
Thanks so much.....
Maxine Clifford

Ripley |
I sent you a picture of Ripley on the lawn as a puppy and I was pleased to see it is still showing in your photo gallery. I thought I would send you one of him now that he is full grown. He weighs about 95lbs and is an amazing dog with a great personality and loves to swim – no surprises there. Enjoy the photo and thanks. |

Hello Helen -
We bought our Golden Doodle from you
on February 21, 2007. He was the last of a litter born on
December 4, 2006. We have named him "Cato" - after a family of
magistrates of the Roman Empire - and we thought you might like
to know how he is coming along.
He has grown very well (he eats
heartily!) and now weighs 65 pounds. He is a fine healthy boy,
with no fat on him, all muscle and energy. His personality has
turned out to be all we could have hoped for. He definitely has
a mind of his own, but is very intelligent and eager to please,
and has a sweet temperament which makes him a great hit with
everyone he meets, from our grandchildren to the neighbours and
even the vets in the practice we go to, who all want to adopt
him. His mouth has always been very "soft" right from the
beginning and he will let us put our hands in and do anything to
his teeth, tongue and mouth without any attempt to bite.
He has completed the first of two
sessions of puppy training at Campaign Dog Academy, and started
on the second course. He is great with other dogs and with the
other dog owners and the instructors. Of all the dogs there he
is the least noisy and, in fact, does not often bark at all.
When he does, he is now barking baritone instead of soprano and
will undoubtedly be a quite impressive watchdog without being a
nuisance about it.
We took him last week for his first
grooming session, wondering how the groomers would make out when
they started to trim the hair around his eyes, chin and paws,
which is what we asked them to do. When we went back to pick him
up they said he had been really wonderful, gave them no trouble
with any part of the process, and loved the bathing and the hair
dryer afterwards. He had, of course, been regularly brushed at
home, but we had been a bit apprehensive about the grooming
parlour, but no problem at all!
Last Thursday Cato was neutered, and
he still has his cone on at the moment but bears it stoically.
He doesn't fight having the cone on and off, but would obviously
prefer to have nothing to do with it if he could have his
choice.
We are attaching a picture taken
yesterday, in which he is wearing his cone. You can see he is
actually a very happy dog, and also that he has a very beautiful
set of adult teeth now.
He is a great pet, a strikingly
handsome dog, and we are very pleased and happy with him.

Dear Helen, I thought that I would finally get around to sending you a note to let you know how Finnegan is getting along here in Toronto. We've been mighty busy these past few weeks getting used to having a new member of the family. Crate training has been an unbelievable challenge! He hates the crate and spent the first week barking all night long. We're persevering, however, and he has made slight improvements in the past week. Everything else seems to have been going really well. He basically got the hang of house training within the first week and we have had very few accidents. He already knows "sit", "lie down", "off", and we're really close on "stay" and "come". He's also learning to walk well on a leash. He LOVES meeting people and seems genuinely perplexed when people don't want to stop and meet him. He's met half the kids at the school and is very patient, letting everyone pet him. Don't be surprised if you get some phone calls based on Finnegan (I've already had a couple of people ask for your contact info) because almost everyone we've seen in the past few weeks agrees he is the cutest, gentlest, most beautiful puppy – they're right! I'm including a couple of pictures for you. The first (with the ball) was taken at 8weeks old. The second (with his stuffed animal alter ego) was taken at 10 weeks, and the last 2 were taken at 11 weeks. Thanks for all you did to produce our lovely dog. Mary Smeaton

Hi Helen,
It's Keri Maki from Thunder Bay. I
just wanted to show you an updated picture of Copper (just over
one year later). He is such a great dog and a has been
wonderful addition to our family. My children adore him (they
don't even argue when it's their turn for "poop detail") and my
husband and I were so ready to have him join our family. He has
a fantastic temperament and has had such a "go with the flow"
personality since the day we got him. All of my daycare
children and their families all love him as well, and he is so
good with all of them. He was just at the vet for his check up
and vaccinations last Thursday and is doing well. He weighs in
at 60.7 pounds and stands at just over 22 inches at the
shoulders. The vet says he has some "skin left to grow in to"
so I am not sure how much bigger he will grow. Who knows, maybe
in another year or so, he will need a friend. I am so thankful
we found your website when we did as I cannot imagine our lives
without Copper in it. I have told all of my friends and family
about you and even the many people I don't know, as there is not
a day that we cannot escape walking, or being out with Copper
without at least one person stopping us to ask us about him and
where we got him. Thank you again.
Take Care,
Keri Maki and Family

Hi Helen
Just an update on our mini dood
Reggie (Echo/Rusty, March 23)
I cannot believe this pup. Never in
my life have I seen a puppy this age be so good! He has the
sweetest personality and is so easy to train. We all just love
him to pieces. He is gentle, easygoing and very well behaved.
He is pretty much housetrained with the rare accident now and
then. He walks well on a leash and loves people. We've started
puppy classes and he can sit, stand and down on command.
I can't thank you enough for
Reggie. He has brought so much pleasure in to our lives. You
are obviously great at what you do!
Here are some pics.
Take care,
Katie Waddell

Hi Helen,
Just wanted to let you know that Jake is doing quite well. He's
adjusting to "houselife" but still finds the outside his
favourite place to be. He sure is a sweet dog! I thought I'd
send you a picture so you know he's being well taken care of.

Hi Helen, |

Hi Helen,
Linus is almost six months old now and
doing just great. He is so smart and such a happy puppy. He is
growing like crazy but he is still very much a puppy - all wiggly
and floppy when he meets and greets people and other dogs.
I am attaching a picture of him and our
daughter Gracie (who is 6 yrs old). It was taken at the beginning
of July.
At what age would you recommend getting
Linus neutered?
Hope you are enjoying your summer. We
haven't had much of one weather wise, but I'm sure it's coming.
MaryGwen
Hi Helen,
I hope you are having a great summer!
We have been having a great summer with Linus. He has been
swimming, kayaking, picnicing (is that a word?), and having a
great time.
He is was neutered about a month ago
and that went smoothly.
I really can't tell you enough how
thrilled we are with him. He is so very smart and such a great
listener.
Attached is a picture that was taken
of him kayaking. I hope you enjoy it.
Are you planning any more litters in
the near future...just curious.
