| Hello
and welcome to the GoldenBelleKennels website. We are a
family of dog lovers living on the outskirts of the lovely
town of Lucknow Ontario. We have a small hobby farm, which
includes a hobby kennel with over 10 acres of fenced in
property for our dogs to play on. Our dogs have provided us
with tons of love, companionship, and joy over the years and
we would like to share that joy with you. We have done
extensive research into the world of dogs and breeding, and
have had many years of hands on experience. This gives us
the knowledge we need to provide you with a happy, healthy,
well socialized best friend. We have selected our breeding
stock with the greatest care, and have had them tested for
genetic diseases including their hips. In all cases, the
breeding dogs must pass with flying colours and this
provides you with a pup that has been given a wonderful
start in life. The golden doodle pups are vet checked,
vaccinated, dewormed and come with a written four year
health guarantee. We stand behind our pups 100% and are
available day or night through out your pups development to
answer any questions or address any concerns you might have.
With proper nutrition, veterinary care, training, and of
course T.L.C. you will have a great companion for many years
to come. Buying from a reputable, established, experienced
breeder with a good health warrantee will make a big
difference on the lifespan of you puppy.
All our Doodle Pups are raised in the
home without any harsh chemicals to damage developing cells
or cause problems down the road, rest assured that your
puppy is being raised around natural cleaning products that
are safe for both pets and humans as well as our
environment. Puppies are also raised on a natural dog food to get the best possible start in life . There's nothing like the sweet smell of doodle puppy breath and sloppy puppy kisses to fill the void in anyone's heart. |

We wanted to choose a breed that was a sound, even tempered, intelligent, gentle dog. We have 6 children and wanted a dog we could trust around the kids. After extensive research, we decided on the Golden Retriever and have never regretted that choice. The kids are now grown and most of them are on their own with families of their own, so we can dedicate even more time to raising the dogs. A friend of mine suggested I breed my Golden with her Standard poodle. After doing some research, I found that the Goldendoodle is a sound hybrid dog that has no or little genetic defects because of it’s large gene pool as there is no inbreeding or line breeding. The Goldendoodle is a highly intelligent, little to non-shedding, non-allergenic dog that has been used as a Seeing Eye dog for the blind with allergies. I have now added the doubledoodle ( North American Retriever) and the Australian Labradoodle to my breeding program. These hybrid breeds pick up the good traits from both parents, they are easily trained, and they have a very sweet natured disposition. I also breed the smaller version, petites & minis and find them to be just as healthy and intelligent as the standard size. |
|
We have been breeding dogs for about 30 years, our first litter of Goldendoodles will be turning 16yrs. old this spring. We keep in touch with most of our goldendoodle puppy owners and make ourselves available for questions. Should a puppy ever need to be returned for what ever reason we would take the pup back, if a pup should ever have to be returned for health reasons we would give you the choice of either a new pup or a full refund. If your pup is diagnosed with a hereditary disease and you wanted to keep your pup then we would simply give you a new goldendoodle pup when you were ready for one. We don't believe in trading your beloved pet in for another one unless it's what you want. |

| Sorry if the information below is repeated on the site but I don't want anyone to miss it | |

I have always
been open to visits and would like to keep my policy of
allowing visitors but there have been some misunderstandings
lately that I would like to clear up, when visiting please
keep in mind that this is our home, if your intention is to
just see puppies and see what Adult doodles look like, act
like or test your allergies then this isn't the place to do
that. There is a wealth of information on the internet and
it answers just about every question you might have, if you
would like to see doodles in person and get to know their
personalities as pet doodles not intact breeding doodles
then just Google doodle romps in your area, you will find
hundreds of doodles and proud owners that would love to talk
doodle all day with you if you have the time. We have to
protect our puppies and dogs from harm not put them in harms
way and unfortunately that's what you could be doing if you
are just "kennel hopping" to see who has the cutest doodles.
I want to place my puppies with someone who has the puppies
best interest at heart and that includes the puppies parents
best interest as well. There are more and more kennels not
doing visits unless there is a deposit in place, I am starting to understand why
they do it that way so for the safety of all dogs and
puppies please respect my policies so I can keep allowing
visitors. Humans can track in various and serious dog diseases that could be devastating to the puppies and dogs. Your more then welcome to come and visit us to see where your puppy is coming from before placing a deposit but any unvaccinated puppy and their mother will be in a bio-secure area, families with deposits view the parents and puppies after the puppies have had their vaccines. To insure the health of your goldendoodle puppy visitors are not allowed in the maternity area. Strangers viewing and walking in the area excites and upsets the Moms and puppies. Following these guidelines allows us to provide overall kennel safety and healthy puppies. There are large amount of reported cases of Parvo Virus in Canada and the U.S. Parvo Virus is a highly contagious disease that can be carried from kennel to kennel or from parks, vet offices, pet stores, etc. on your shoes, clothing, skin and can wipe out a whole kennel in a matter of a few days. The dog flu is also on the rise and is similar to kennel cough. These are both very highly contagious diseases that could have disastrous results in a litter of puppies therefore we must ask that you not visit any other kennel, pet store, dog park, vet office or anywhere else that there may be ill dogs. By ticking off the yes box on the application you agree to these terms. Thank you for your co-operation in keeping our breeding dogs and puppies healthy. |

A bit about our Goldendoodle breeding program Some of our breeding girls and boys are housed in our kennel in large clean spacious runs that allow them to move around freely without the confined feeling of a crate. We have a large outdoor fenced in exercise yard they play in everyday, our dogs are loved, well cared for, played with by our kids and grandkids, eat only the best human grade organic meats bought from the butcher and are seen by the vet on a regular basis. They are all included in our daily routines and love having their own bedrooms. We chose to raise our breeding dogs in a kennel rather then the house for a number of reasons, the most important one being their own safety, also this way we control who breeds who and have planned breeding not oops breedings. A dog in the human world only knows what it is taught, if you raise a dog in a family environment and then move it to a kennel it will miss its living arrangements so for this reason any adult dog I purchase that was raised in a house remains in the house with our family, if you raise a dog in a kennel then move it to the house it will miss the kennel and wont feel comfortable in a house, sure a dog will get used to living with a family in their home once its spayed or neutered and retired but my point is that dogs are happy wherever they are raised as long as its done with love and care and of course good food. I had mentioned the dogs safety as being one of the reasons we choose to kennel our breeding dogs, if they were allowed to run as a pack in our home there would be numerous injuries even fights to the death with dogs trying to establish their pecking order, keep in mind these dogs have all their parts which means they have all their hormones in working order, females don’t see another dog in heat as a play mate they see her as an enemy that needs to be taken out of the breeding pool because its not as alpha as she is, for more info click below: http://www.dogchannel.com/dog-information/dog-trainer-morn/female-dogs-fight-constantly.aspx males will fight to the death over a female in heat, Males fight for breeding dominance and yes, alpha position. http://en.allexperts.com/q/Ask-Veterinarian-700/2009/2/Male-dogs-fighting-1.htm You always hear the saying only the strongest and biggest survive long enough to breed. The other important reason our dogs are kenneled is that we can control who gets bred and when they get bred, if a female comes into heat and for some reason we don’t think it’s a good time for her to get bred we can choose to skip this heat and wait for the next, if the dogs were running loose in the house she could get bred by one male in the morning and the other in the evening, I have seen males break threw walls to get to a female in heat, we would not know who daddy is and that wouldn’t be fair to you either. An intact male could rape a female that's not in heat and could cause damage to her. A female dog can have as many different fathers for her puppies that bred with her. Dogs can release multiple eggs and they can be fertilized by whichever dog’s semen is present. If more than one male bred her, that’s how many fathers the puppies can have. The main reason everyone gets a fair shot at the eggs is because the semen wait a day or two before fertilizing the eggs. When a dog ovulates the eggs are not totally mature. They finish maturing as they enter into the uterine horns. Then whatever dog’s semen is present releases from the uterine lining and heads for the eggs. Now one single puppy cannot have two different fathers. Each puppy will get half of its DNA makeup from Mom and one Father, it’s possible for two puppies from the same litter to have 2 different sires though. Our breeding dogs are treated with respect, I do not work outside the home so I can devote all my spare time to their nurturing, training and grooming. Mom actually likes giving birth in the privacy of the maternity room with no distractions and nothing to cause her anxiety or fear. I am available 24/7 to address any questions or concerns that you have, being able to contact the breeder is especially important in the first few weeks after the puppies leave for their new homes, only the breeder knows your puppy the best at this point and can offer support and peace of mind. I am more then happy to discuss any behavior problem or give training tips at any time of your dogs life, so please take advantage of this since it could save you hundreds of dollars, some trainers charge $60. an hour for a phone consultation, I offer this service free to any of my puppies families. If for any reason you have to return your doodle at any age I will take the dog back no questions asked, this way we can both make sure your pet gets a good approved home. If I rehome the dog and receive an adoption fee the money goes directly to you and you can decide what to do with it, I can recommend some worthy dog rescues that could use some help if you like. If you have any questions or concerns please call or e-mail me. What happens after my goldendoodle puppy is born? Once mom has given birth the puppies, moms are seen by the vet to make sure everything is okay. The next four weeks are not to eventful, mom does most of the work and I handle each puppy at least once a day, I weigh the pup and give it a once over and pet it a bit so that it gets the best start at socialization. I deworm the puppies every two weeks with Strongid T staring at 2 weeks old. By 4 weeks old the puppies’ immune system is strong enough to start socialization by other family members including my grandkids. Mom usually starts to wean her babies at this age so I introduce water soaked TLC dog food, Mom stops cleaning up puppies at this point so I take over keeping them clean and dry. This is the time that I start to puppy pad train them, they do great at keeping their sleeping and eating area clean. The puppies are slowly weaned over the next two weeks so that by the time they receive their first shots at 6 weeks old they are pretty much only eating TLC dog food and drinking water, Moms antibodies will fight the vaccine so I revaccinate the puppies at 8 weeks old and they will need a booster 4 weeks after that along with the rabies shot. I will accept visits after the pups get their first shot but your puppy will only be handled by myself, my family, the vet and you, so if someone else comes to see the puppies yours will be kept in a bio secure area. At 6 wks old I start to crate and house train, puppies are puppy pad trained during the worst part of winter and outside training is done during the warmer months. Simple commands like sit, come, off, no bite are introduced. You can order the food we feed our doodles and highly recommend, online. Pink Solution is a natural enzyme cleaner, which when
mixed with water, emulsifies dirt, grease and grime, and
restores finishes to their natural state. This means
that it will not only clean, but will actually brighten
surfaces that most cleaners dull, such as stainless
steel appliances and fiberglass bath and shower stalls.
The enzymes will emulsify even the oldest stains, which
means that so long as there are not permanent dyes
involved, even the oldest of laundry and carpet stains
will be removed. Also, it contains no chemicals, and can
be inhaled, eaten and used without any gloves, with no
ill effects. Pink Solution also replaces all household
cleaners, even laundry detergent, so when used as
directed, it can last an average family up to 2 years,
replacing every different cleaner they would normally
purchase. To order please contact Helen 519-528-5180 or
